Why you should use Benchtop and Surface Repairs

History

Ronald, the founder of Benchtop and Surface Repairs is a Trade qualified cabinet maker with over 25 years’ experience.
 In the past, damaged laminate has always been a problem that has come up. Either damages during the installation, building of the house by other tradies or the owner or renter accidentally doing an oopsie (using the top as a cutting board, putting a hot pot down, spilling bleach, the list goes on). He had always been told that damaged laminate cannot be repaired, and this is the commonly held belief.
 THIS IS NOW NOT TRUE, back in 2009, Ronald spent well over two years doing extensive research and trials with this resulting in LAMINATE CAN BE REPAIRED.
Due to requests Ronald then continued to research and develop means to repair all the surfaces which Benchtop and Surface now repair. Laminate, tile, timber, stone, enamel and acrylic.

Benchtop and surface repairs are continually looking into ways to improve the standards and quality to which they are known for.

Each cabinet maker/firm has a machine that cuts unique joins. Replacing a single benchtop in a kitchen is not as easy as one may think or feel. This process can be difficult as the joins used are not a set standard and can varey between kitchen manufacturers. There are also the other variables to be considered with attempting this as the new laminate to be used can be a different colour, sheen, or texture.
 You then can run the issue of the profile being of a slightly different shape or size. You then run the chance of damaging the other benchtop when attempting to “break” the join as well as also damaging the splash back in the process of pulling out the benchtop.
Since we repair…not replace, none of the above is an issue!

Benefits;
There are many benefits of having your benchtops repaired instead of replaced and these include;
Generally more cost effective
Faster turn around
Less mess
Does not alter the look of your kitchen (bathroom, laundry, office…)
Only me in your house (no cabinet maker, plumber, electicion, tiles, gas fitter)
Do not need to replace the ENTIRE kitchen
Benchtop and Surface Repairs objective;
  • Our primary aim is for the aesthetics of the kitchen and the surfaces that we repair.
  • To maintain the original look of these surfaces
  • Repair the damaged area rather than needing to alter your counter by putting in a hot tile, cutting board, in bench bin, etc to hide the damage to your top. If you look for the repair, you will most likely see it.
  • Our goal is to be able to have someone walk through or past the area that has been repaired, who is unaware of the damage and not notice it.
